Jamie Barbrey and Clint King Split Wins at Kingsport

By Gerald Harris Photo: Keith Anderson The third stop for the Southeast Super Truck Series Presented by Rick Hendrick City Chevrolet took place at Kingsport Speedway on Saturday July 11th. The track known as the “Concrete Jungle” never fails to prove it is a driver’s track. The teams all unloaded to prepare for the day. The driver from Denton, North Carolina, Clint King, topped the first round of practice with Jacob Owens, and Tanner Carter rounding the top three. Owens found himself the final practice followed by King and Kenneth Headen. Qualifying was up next for the driver’s, King claimed the Renegade Race Fuel’s Pole Award. The field paced around the speedway, patiently waiting on the green flag to fall for the first Twin-50 Lap feature. King hit his marks and jumped out front, once the race was under way.
