Houston Sweeps Tri-County as Headen Wins Fourth Championship

By Gerald Harris Photos By Keith Anderson 10/31: HUDSON, N.C. - The Southeast Super Trucks headed into the final weekend of the 2020 season. Tri-County Speedway hosted the series in what was called “Halloween Heat Championship Night Presented by Jeff’s Auto Sales” on Saturday October 31st. The series would go off in the afternoon competing in Twin 40 Lap races. Jeff Caldwell with Jeff’s Auto Sales put up an additional $500 bucks to any driver that could win both races, on top of that Tony with T&D Trucking also put up $500 now adding up to $1,000 on top of the regular purse payout. There was only one round of practice with qualifying to immediately follow. Ashton Higgins topped the practice charts with a time of 16.285, he was followed by Charlie Watson, Jamie Barbrey, Tim Lollis and Kenneth Headen.
