Headen Gets Back-To-Back Victories at Anderson Motor Speedway

  Williamston, SC August 22, 2020 By Gerald Harris Photo by Keith Anderson The Southeast Super Trucks returned back to Anderson Motor Speedway with a back to back weekend on August 22nd. The series officials have been working hard on trying to get as many races in as they can. It was the young gun of Tanner Carter who paced the field and set on top of the speed charts for the two practice rounds. The series seen a first time for a female driver to capture the Renegade Race Fuels pole award as Taylor Hosford from Madison, Florida laid down an impressive lap time in her #13 Arnett Bus Lines Chevrolet Silverado. She rolled a five on the invert dice which now put Headen on the top spot for the race. Headen took off in his SH Carter Ford F150 when the green flag fell. ​ The only battles on the track seemed to be from second on through out the field. Ashton Higgins Captures Victory at Anderson Motor Speedway

The sixth stop of the season, as the Points Championships were starting to take shape, so was the competition on the track. Ashton Higgins and Justin Southerlin topped the speed charts for the first two practice rounds. Higgins would also go on to capture the Renegade Race Fuels Pole Award, he rolled a three on the invert dice which now set Ryan Howard on the top spot with Ralph Carnes on the outside. Carnes led the first five laps of the race, until Howard began to battle for the lead. Howard took over the top spot bringing Higgins with him on lap six. The first caution flew on lap as a chunk of asphalt came up and went through the radiator of Josh Gobles #65 Toyota Supra.
